Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-05-06 (closed beta)
Unfurl is a closed beta. By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are written plainly because they should be readable; they are still binding.
1. What Unfurl does
Unfurl converts videos you provide into AI-generated, transcript-grounded guides with a chat tutor. Generation uses third-party services (Anthropic, OpenAI) to transcribe and summarize. Output quality varies; nothing is guaranteed.
2. Your responsibilities
- You must own the rights to use any video you submit, or have a clear fair-use basis. You retain those rights; we do not claim them.
- You will not use Unfurl to generate content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, or designed to defraud users.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or share your account.
3. Subscription & billing
- Free trial: seven days from signup, no card required.
- After the trial, continued access requires an active Unfurl Pro subscription. Pricing is shown on the billing page and managed via Stripe.
- Per-user monthly usage is capped to bound costs. Hitting the cap pauses generation and chat until the period rolls over or you ask us to raise it.
- You can cancel any time from the Stripe Customer Portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
4. Beta caveats
- Features may change, break, or disappear without notice during closed beta.
- We may delete data with reasonable notice if our infrastructure changes — though we will export your guides for you on request.
- SLA: none. We aim for stability but make no uptime guarantees.
5. Liability
Unfurl is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is capped at fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
6. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when reasonable.
7. Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be communicated by email at least seven days before they take effect.
